2017~2025 CX-5 upgraded screen issue

Hi, I have recently just bought a screen replacement for my Mazda CX5 as I had the ghost touch issue. I have just installed my new screen and the touch screen works partially but is recognising touches in a different area to where I press down. I followed an installation guide to the exact suggestions. My only query is I may not have put the 3 prongs in the back of the screen in the exact perfectly potentially. Does anyone know what the issue is or if it’s worth getting back into the dash to get the screen out and check the prongs etc. to ensure they are in correct location?

There's a fix for the ghost touch problem by removing the touch screen ability. It's outlined on this site with step by step procedures. A few have used it and it works, but you lose the touch ability which most people don't use anyway. In your case you have already replaced the screen but it may help future drivers that experience the problem.

The screen replacement was new.

Thanks for the response. Yes i am aware of the ghost touch issue, that is why i replaced it with the new screen.

Just had the same problem, have tried 2 different new screens- swapped out to solve the ghost problem but the new one only responds to a few places and not where the icons/line items are. Any fixes for this? Any eat to recalibrate? TIA
