CX-5 Rear Tailgate Height When Open

We are looking to purchase a new CX-5 and I would like to know how high from the ground the rear tailgate door is when the tailgate is open (highest point from the ground). I have a lower height garage and am concerned it may interfere with the garage door when the door is open.

Thanks!

To the highest point is about 80 inches (I just measured).
The highest point is not the lower edge of the door (where it latches), but the little "hip" line just above the M logo on the tailgate.
My hatch hits my garage door when the garage door is open- I tacked a 1 ft square piece of foam to the garage door at the location it hits- problem solved.

Edit- I should mention that this is for an AWD touring- I don't know if the heights will be different for an AWD vs FWD, or Sport vs Touring Vs Grand Touring.

Is there a way of limiting the opening height so that it does not hit the ceiling of garage with low height? Would a plastic coated steel wire tied to the strut end of the damper achieve that result? The shorter wire would limit the opening angle and thereby height.

The opening height can be adjusted if function of the garage; herewith an excerpt of the Users's Manual :

Changing the power liftgate fully open
position
The power liftgate fully-open position can
be changed according to the height of a
garage.
When changing the position
1. Stop the liftgate at the desired position.
2. Press the power liftgate close switch
for about three seconds.
A beep sound is activated two times to
indicate that the position change has
been completed.
NOTE
Set the desired fully-open position of the
liftgate at the position where it is open
more than halfway. The position where it
is less than halfway open cannot be set.
To reset
1. Open the liftgate.
2. Press the power liftgate close switch
for about seven seconds.
A beep sound is activated three times
to indicated that the reset has been
completed.

We are talking of people who do not have the Power liftgate model but a manual one. I have tried my "tying a string" theory and it works. I'll post a photo later.

My CX-5 liftgate will hit my garage door if completely opened. I've set the automatic height at a safe limit, but was wondering if when not in the garage, I'd do any damage by lifting it past its set point manually. Note that this is the kind of thing I'd be doing a LOT, so I'm hesitant to manually operate the liftgate without getting the forum's input on this.

Thanks!
