The 3D design of the first-gen rims look good in Black. It still gives an interesting textural look.

Would be interesting to see someone powder coat those polarising new CX-5 19 inch wheels in black.

Looks gorgeous! The only thing that jumped out at me was the wheel center caps -- if I were you, I'd black those out too. More cohesive. I had powder coated wheels on my last car and the silver Mazda emblem in the middle bugged me so much I ended up coloring them in with a black Sharpie! Sounds ghetto but it looked way better after that.
