I asked mazda maintenance department and they said that grill itself is 300 bucks. They also said that the drawings seem to be different so the screws wouldn't line up if I tried swapping them.

I think it wouldn't be too big of a challenge for a machine shop to do the alterations but Mazda won't sign up for it. They want us to get a new car like it is that simple and easy

Saw a 15' and a 16' side by side on a dealer lot that I was working at yesterday. Should have snapped a few pics. From a glance next to each other, they look like they would swap. The hood line and bumper opening appear the same. I didn't have keys to the vehicles to pop the hoods and take a look at the mounting tabs though. I can't imagine that they would be that dissimilar.
