CX-5 Grand Touring Leather

Hi all,

I'm debating between a Touring versus the Grand Touring. I've had bad experiences with leather seats in the past (sticking on a hot day, too cold in the winter). For those with a GT, how are the leather seats? I know the sitting area is leatherette so I was thinking maybe the GT seats will be better than what I'm used to!

For leather seats being too hot in the summer, get 3M ceremic tint on all the windows.
I got all 10 windows tinted in my '14 CX-5 to block out 80% of the heat.
They have clear film for the windshield & rear windows bc they're tinted from factory.
Leather is nice & there are ways to work with it. I love the red stitching, definitely gives it an upscale look.

I have the GT as well. I thought it was real leather. Didn't know it was leatherette.

I did noticed the leather was not that soft but I like hard seats and the GT seats are firm.

The sitting area is leather (although it is certainly treated with a coating on the top) and the sides are leatherette from what I understand.

It is not "leatherette" in the GT but it is by no means quality leather. Get the cloth and put in Katzkin after market for about $1000 for a much nicer look and feel.
