Cutting Eibach To get it lower

only cut them if they know how to reshape them -- if they dont know what reshaping is --- them run away ---- not all shops know how to do it properly :(

The issue isn't really whether or not the car looks god with cut springs. The issue is that a car with cut springs cant take a corner at over 15 mph without flipping or sliding off the road.

Maybe you are just magical or something, lol. I just know that every car I've ever seen with chopped springs (probably done wrong, of course) compresses it's shocks to hell and when they try to turn the shocks push really hard on both sides, and since the weight is transfered to one side, the inside of the car usually tends to get very loose. Just doesn't seem safe to me. But I'm not trying to discredit you or anything. I've never done it nor have I ever seen someone who "knows how to do it", so I digress.

i know ther is no discredit -- im just curious because all i have ever seen is peeps say no -- and i never had anyone give me an explanation --

so i thank you for it and that does make sense ---- so of course here is my 2 cents on your reply --

this is how i look at it --- 2in. cut springs or 2in. aftermarket springs would make the shock sit at the same hieght from the bumpstop --- so to me the same stress would be evident on the shock because of less room for movement or travel --- i think the only difference would be the stiffness and maybe the stiffer aftermarket spring takes some load off the shock but then again --- its stiffer --
maybe i am lucky or a magiacl :) ------ (drinks)

I would not suggest cutting eibachs because they are progressive rate springs, and by doing this you are throwing out all the information of your spring rates, If they are not a pregressive spring then it might be ok, but I have no idea. This is from the words of a H&R Employee.
