Custom turbo manifold interest?

haha, ya i cant wait for it to get done too, my thunder mani just got the bad case of the clap(warped flange)

Had a problem with an order. The rest of the material i ordered should be in shortly. Wich is the last of what i need. Then i can finally start welding up the manifolds. Everything is ready to go...

Heres a picture of the Jig that i will be using to make the manifolds on.

A ton of people here asking for 3" downpipe. Is anyone making them yet? I know Dino is/ was working on one but its been forever. If you have access to a welder and a small die sander you can easily make one yourself like I did. Summitt racing has the mandrel bends for cheap and Maperformance has the v-band clamps. I bought 3 pipes that were 180 degree bend with 3" diameter and 6" radius. I also bought 2 bungs for oxygen sensors. One for the UEGO and the other for dyno tuning. I also bought a flex section. My total cost was $100! To fabricate cut each bend so that you have six 90 degree bends. Then loosely place vband flange to mounted turbo and make a mark. Next place a bend to the vband flange and make a mark. Now tack weld it. Place back into vehicle and check fitment. Put up your next pipe and keep doing it until you get to the straight facing the rear. Weld in your flex pipe and 02 bungs then your all set.

This is not a how to. Just a suggestion. Its way easier than you think and can save you tons of cash and time. feel free to PM with any questions or check my profile for photos.

why dont u start making them lol sounds like its not too hard for you, i may be talking to someone local about making one for me, pretty much the same way u just said
he said he can make anything for any car, "its all about the bends, bends make power" thats what he said when i askd him lol

not everyone has a welder, its not like its a common thing someone has in there garage and its not a common trait that ppl are actually good at it too.

and i know for a fact that you wouldnt make them for just cost of material.

not 100% sure of the cost but i think sen2two's mani and dp combo is going to be around 650. Thats for a 3" DP and turbo mani

bends make power? Pretty sure its the other way around. U want the exhaust gas to leave the turbo as fast as possible with the least amount of obstructions and bends def. add some obstructions.

Finally got all the material in the mail. Everything is set up and ready to go. I'll be making the first manifold this week hopefully and testing it on fatti03msp's car to see if it need any changes.

will update soon...

im excited... and starting to save up..... im thinkin im gonna sell some stuff off.... if it sells lol and get this setup... free bump!!!

IDEA..... maybe if it is possible... move the turbo just a touch more to the drivers side ( i know its already been discussed) but then there is the room to have the dp come out and drop instead of that damn s ....

Its tacked together. So the first one is just about done. Will be putting it on Fatti's car to test it out REAL soon... I'll post pics soon. I always forget to take pics.

yep we both kind of worked on it, i did the b**** work stuff though lol

also he is my roommate/b****
