hi
has anybody every disassembled and scanned the gauge dials of your protege5 ???

i would be in need of a goof scan/template with measures in milimeters so i could work on my custom stuff but i am too untalented to disassemble it myself, especially the needles :(

would look like this (just without needles etc)

*peeeeeP* anybodY?

NOPE and you probably are not going to find anyone to either....you will POSITIVELY break the needles on the temp and fuel gauag if you try to take them off...

HOWEVER....if you take a good highres image of the complete face...someone could easily remove the needles using photoshop..

OR get an aftermarket set of gauge faces to scan.....

ewwww who's redline is at 5k rpms ? ouch that gotta hurt man.

Anyways back to topic, Nukeman is right, tak a really good high res pic, and photoshop it, that would probably work the best. :D

I used to drive an '89 Ford Tempo that redlined at 4500 before my P5. (wow)

I drove it to its limit all the time, but it still works today. Man!, those were good times:D

The disgusting thing was that it was a 2.3L engine... It's amazing how far 4 bangers have gone since!
