i work at the lockheed martin here in new orleans (michoud operations/assembly plant where they are making the next space vehicle) i am going to school at the university of new orleans for mech. engineering. i do materials analysis for my "main title" but im on the team to figure out why the foam is effing up. also testing top secret metals for the new space vehicle. a bad ass alloy. :) do a lot of xray defraction stuff.

looks awesome man, if we lived a lil closer i would help you with the best i could man. and very happy shipping for this bad boy wont be too bad, lol. keep us posted on the test model ok buddy, and great great design, work, and effort you put into this thing. i hope the best of luck to you my friend.

VERY Nice

Add me to the list of interested to buy. I'm very impressed not only by it's look, but functionality of design.

i could make a mini model :)

what machine are you using that makes a model that big?

It is a computer controlled milling machine. A lil old but it does its job.

What would u used?

we have all types of milling things... but for models we do everything on a smaller scale...the one i use (if i ever need it) uses a wax type material and cuts it out... biggest it can do is like 1ft by 1ft block.

they just got a new machine in another building though, does high density foam..not sure how big it can go.

i got a cnc machine if you want to use it :) (overkill) lol

A CNC is what I will be using. Right now Im trying to get the G-code (code that tells that CNC how to cut the foam) ready so that when I get the green light to use it, everything is ready to go.

i guess you could use cnc... never cut foam on that...guess it would work though.

any idea on when you can get it cut?
