I was waiting for some help in the last iPod thread, but I guess no one is looking at that, so here goes
I've got a 2008 Mazda Speed3 GT and have experienced the alternator whine issue.
So after reading quite a few threads, I ordered the Crutchfield RCA Adapter.
I'm plugged into the 12v with a Griffin Tuneflex and on that the 3.5 plug exits near the base of the unit. I then pluged the 3.5 into the Adapter and that into my aux input in the center console.
With this config, for some reason, the noise is gone, but so is 99% of the sound from my speakers. I get a decent amount from the fronts, but the door speakers and anything else are whispering. Some may not be outputting at all.
Ideas?
