Cross your fingers Guys

I made the mistake of going big with mine. Ended up being rediculous for a daily driver. 4 inch longarm lift with 4 linked rear end, big fat tires, incredibly heavy duty bumpers, winches, sliders, toolbox, onboard you name it I had it. Curb weight when I got rid of it was over 6000 lbs, no joke one beastly porky jeep LMAO....

Ok i broke down and called the Manager yesterday. He should have an answer for me today, this is starting to feel like a run around. I did put my feeler out at another dealer like Add1ct suggested, they have a Red sport in stock. Either way im will be driving a Speed even if i have to wheel and deal for a month. My 06 Jeep Rubi is great but I want something with a little zing when you step on it.

my suggestion to you is to take the month and wheel and deal them down to something good. with the market the way it is, you should NOT be paying anywhere near MSRP, and you should be able to get a good price on your trade in. if they try to give you any bulls***, just tell them there's no way they can have your business without meeting your terms EXACTLY on the dot.

Man, the nearest Speed dealer around here is almost two hundred miles away. Consequently, my deal wasn't quite that good. Did OK, though, considering the local guys have sold every one they've had within a week of delivery.

Go to a dealership that desperately needs to sell cars.

Get to the dealership and hassle them for a week, get on semi-friendly terms with the general sales manager. Gain their trust; let them think you're in their pocket.

Get them to go as low as possible for you. Walk out on any offer you don't like. When you reach something you like ask for a copy of the Buyer's Form (If they give it up) to show your spouse/family member for approval.

Then go to another dealership in a better area and show them they Buyer's Form and ask them if they can beat that deal.

I can't tell you how much this worked for me..... I got such a good deal its ridiculous.

if you don't mind sharing...how good was your deal? I'm mostly curious b/c I'm in the market for a MS3 @ the moment and I'm trying to figure out how low I can get the dealers in my area to go....

I paid $21,033 for my 2008 Sport which was $500 under Invoice. Some here have paid even less and some have paid only slightly more for a GT.

I did all my dealing over the phone and internet. I never went to a dealer until the deal was made.

They will make money even if they sell at invoice. The end of the month is the best time to buy because they may need to make a quota.

Tell them what you will pay and be prepared to buy if they meet it.

Pit several dealers against each other and go back and forth until the price stops dropping. Get on the road prices too. They may give you a great price and then try to add extra in the end.

Don't forget to shop for the best interest rate. The dealer will try to get you there as well. It can take a couple of weeks to do all this so be patient and you can save a couple thousand.

I drove 7 hours round trip to pick up my Speed 3. The dealer was a large volume dealer and meet my price.

I'm thinking about tradeing the ford fusion for a ms3.. white or silver.. the dealers here in Louisville suck so bad.. i hate trying to deal with them. anyone with ideas im game. they want sticker price and no trade in at all..

That's why I bought my MS3 from Kings in Cincinnati; I paid sticker, but that was in July of last year- and the morons at Oxmoor were asking $2000 OVER sticker. I heard that you can now buy the MS3 on S Plan. Have you looked into that?

Are you sure that edmunds.com is a reliable source? I just checked it out and it's telling me that the MSRP for a 2008.5 GT is $24,055 whereas the Mazda website is telling me $24,805. Do you think the invoice price on edmunds is also off?

hey M3... s plan would be sweet! my best friend is a engineer at KTP.. thats why i got the loaded fusion at a deal 0% intrest and 2k off sticker.. nice car.. just boring.. so kings treated you right? oxmoor blows.

Well, like I said, I paid sticker- but that was almost a year ago. Couldn't hurt to call and see if they will do an S Plan sale.

oxmoor was loaded like 3 weeks ago with 2 whites 2 reds silver and black ms3..rode through tonight... 1 black gt with navigation.. 27k!!! woooo that was sticker. i guess they sold the others.. i havent seen them on the street..

i just bought one two weeks ago. i used Edmunds for just a basic price check. then i used it to email my local dealers. i put out on my message that i didnt want to haggle, just send me the best deal. most idiots gave me the usual, "just come in, we can beat any price!" one gave me a price i liked...$21,033 like the post above. i went in, introduced myself and bought the car. i didnt have a trade in, so that complicated things.

E-mail Knoxville Mazda and offer them $21,000 for a sport. You will have a long drive but will save 2 grand.

Trust Edmunds before the dealers. You CAN buy a MS3 for invoice or below.

The 2008 may be lower invoice than the 2008.5

I have decided that edmunds TMV stands for totally madeup values....

twice I have been burned by their TMZ pricing for trade in values. Kelly blue book is lower, and the NADA orange pocket book is what dealers go off of anyways. Do yourself a favor and get a NADA book before shopping. save you the grief.

Most dealers look at auction values.

I've found Edmund's to be dead on, both for invoice and sticker. When I bought my 300C, they gave me a copy of the invoice. It matched Edmund's numbers to the penny. Their retail matched on both the "C" and the MS3. Most dealers look at the black book, the same one the banks use. It's numbers are always lower than KBB, Edmund's, etc.
