creaking noise from console area

Winter is here...!!!!


I have noticed a creaking noise inside the car. It is around the console area on passenger side. Started after the snow fall and car was cold. I could hear it when I hit a bump, pothole or anything.I believe it is from the cold which makes the console material little stiffer. if I press the passenger console area when car is stopped, it produce the same sound.


Did anybody noticed similar problems?

Yup, exactly same as you describe. Cold + bumps = noise.

For my CX-5. I noticed this as well, especially when it gets cold. I found that the sound was coming from the interior shielding just left of the windshield. As long as I hold it in place there is no noise, but as soon as I let go it comes back. Any ideas?
