Does everyone remember the kid I told you about a few days ago who was running 17 psi? Well we went down to the dyno today and he ran it at 12 psi. Let's remember this is 12 psi, ECU flash, and everything else bone stock. Well he managed to push out 180 hp and 181 ft. lb. torque. It was a mustang dyno so they pulled a quarter mile time...14.3 @ 95 mph, which is highly unlikely. I thought they were decent numbers for being stock, I'll get the dyno sheet up tomorrow.

That's cool, how did he manage to get more torque than hp...I am confused.
Anyway, I am actually kinda glad to see that his car is still running, even though he is acting stupid. It just shows that our engines are not as weak as some of us are making them out to be...but lets give him some time, he hasn't been running it like that for too long has he?

anyway, i was just thinking....i sold my integra cause it was just sitting in the garage, i have some money but i am wondering what i should do with it...I was thinking of buying my neighbors sc 300 for about 4 g's. Well worth the buy in my opinion....anyway what i am trying to get at is that it will cost MORE money to make the speed faster. I was talking to a guy i work out at the gym, he is the guy who launched the sheet metal off the ground at my car while down shifting.... yyyeeeeaaaaa some serious ass hp, probably a high 9 second running car. Anyway, he said he can get me a TT j-spec motor, with all the fuel mapping for under 5 grand? i mean damn....even though the motor will be stock i can boost like a mutha.....what would you guys do? Oh yes, i am keeping the speed...

The SC is totally different and you never see those on the street, they are mistaken for luxury cars only...for those of you who don't know the lexus has a supra motor as well as the IS 300. turbo vehicles almost always produce more torque than hp......look at the SRT...215hp but 245lb/ft...deisel trucks may only have 300hp, but 750lb/ft.....when a turbo system is properly designed for a vehicle you'd be surprised at the results.

Yes the ambulances I drive at work are turbodiesels with fueling boxes...producing 375HP and something like 800 lb/ft or torque (damn)

Things that you'll have to fab will be the down-pipe and exhaust. Wiring may become a nightmare too. But if you go full standalone, things will be easier.

MoJoeTCM, that's pretty much what I'm doing when I sell my MSP. However, it won't be the j-spec 1jz motor. It'll be a usdm 2jzgte w/ 6spd. You can accomplish that swap for under $10k, and with basic mods, put down 400rwhp.
