Crackle from front speakers?

Ok I have this crackle sounds coming from the front speakers. Usually when I hit a bump or something it will sound.

I have clarion component set up front, 10" MTX sub and two amps. (one for the sub and one for the component set) I made sure everything was grounded correctly.

check the speaker wires. it sounds like they could be loose.

If it is only when you hit a bump, then something is loose. If it is from both speakers, check the connection at the amp or HU. If it is only one speaker, it could also be the connection at that speaker too.

Sounds good! Ill have to check the HU and the amp because it comes from both speakers.

I got the same problem... my guess is loose wire somewhere.

im just too busy and lazy to take things apart again.

Question for both of you with the crackle?

When you spliced into the existing wires to do you stereo upgrade/install, did you solder the connections, or just twist them together and tape over them?

i really didnt have to do any splicing.

wires from the amp, and connected to the speakers with those crimp connectors.

i could go and solder the connections (the crimp ones), but i am getting crackling from both sides, so it could be the rca's, or something with the amp.
