cpe parts interest

I was talking to phen and a cp-e parts rep and he said be would be interesting in producing and selling protege parts at a reasonable price. Let me know what you'd want and he will respond and we work from there. We are only gauging interest here

I would start with intake, header, and exhaust.

The only currently produced header is the obx and we all know it's crap. If someone (cpe, corksport, cr3, etc) would produce a decent 4-2-1 header like the awr or Mazdaspeed and sold it for around 300-400, on an ongoing basis, they would get every NA protege sale ever lol.

Boston5761 said:

TB spacer that has some decent r&d behind it

There are a couple companies that make TB and IM thermal spacers.
My biggest problem with this car is there is not enough aftermarket support. One thing is ecu platforms are ridicolous. No plug n play conversion harnesses for aftermarket ecus.only a few decent exhaust systems offered for this car. Cams are a problem, fs-ze and other ppl's custom made cams are all thats out there. Turbo parts would be nice too. More turbo mani's. Id personally buy anything you guys put the effort into designing and r&d'ng for these cars

let me stop you right there because i dont think youve googled enough.

aftermarket support:
corksport
protege garage
SU
speed circuit
cr3 motorsports
racing beat, and correct me if i miss any.

aftermarket ecu:
split second
haltech
microsquirt
spicymsp reflash
mpi

exhaust:
always the option for custom
racing beat
vibrant
mangaflow
greddy
corksport
hks
etc..

cams:
fsze
twiggy stix
and i know there is another i am forgetting.

turbo manifolds:
thunder
steedspeed
callaway
obx
and i know im forgetting 2 or 3

just use google a little more, and browse used for sale parts on here and other forums. youll find a lot of stuff you didnt know was out there.

that being said, im down for a header. one that was a little thicker and tuned for 6000 rpm peak power and not 10000 like the obx. it wouldnt hurt having one that didnt give filthy rasp.

Aj beat me to it.

but yeah, we need good quality headers <300$

Turbo manifold for the 1.6l...

Lol, no one makes one and no one ever will...

Don't know if you guys know that you can get this to but there in Australia
http://www.pacemaker.com.au/mazda_4cyl.html

Any further information on it? Wonder on price as well.

As far as interests......

I pretty much agree with a good quality header that is made to fit out the door first time.

Cam Gears is one. I don't see many making them but then again not many need them.

I'd like them to make a turbo manifold like the one they have for the 2.3's, a liscense plate relocation kit, maybe some gauge mounting solutions besides the stupid pillar pod options we have now.
