CPE MS3 Engine management

this has been answered a dozen times on here.

This unit is transparent to the factory ECM as it modifies the signals sent from the ECM. It will up boost in 1st and 2nd to about 15psi. The current version of the standback does not control the throttle plate. There's been talk that version 2 will.

the pnp might be better as you can "unplug it" completely for a trip to the dealer, but my dealer knows I have the standback installed and he's cool with it. ....

I'm thinking that if you have a serious problem that involves some serious warranty expense, your dealer might change his attitude with the prospect of having Mazda techs swoop in to take a look. Just a thought.

yeah but he said "after the first motor blows we can take care of it but after that if i tell you to go back to stock you have to do it" ..lol he is pretty cool! The engine isn't going to blow though. Its basically stock I haven't tuned it i'm just running a little more boost

Hi Swamp by v2 do you mean the p&p tahst due in February and will these come pre tuned or will someone have to tune it since we all have different mods and setups.

Looking at your sig, seems like being in the MS-CIA has it's benefits. You must have something on these people that makes them so ... compliant. Based on your lack of concern about spelling and punctuation, I'm thinking "man of action" type. Let me guess, you're in ops, right?

This is a duplicate but who cares.CP-E were supposed to release their PnP in Feb what happened? The good news is that we might not need a pump upgrade if we are sticking around 320whp or so as apparently the stock fuel pumps are more than adequate.
The CP-E standback is sophisticated enough to be useful to control the cam driven high pressure fuel pump. Their electrical engineer worked on a MS6 project last summer, for a few days, and he later popped out a Standback that can control the high pressure fuel pump output. So combine it with throttle controll and boost pressure, you`ll basically have no need for a turbo upgrade, unless you`re looking at 400hp+.(drive2)
The stock Hitachi effeciency is good for 18-20psi.(bowdown)Considering its a small quick spooling turbo, any more power than 350whp you are dooming for a bitter end hehehehee.350whp would be approximately 420hp at crank and that kind of gives you almost the power to weight ratio of a 2007 Z06.To be honest with anything above 320whp i would like to keep my 1st and second gear 10psi limit what not ,unless you guys want to burn out your rubbers every month.

I see what you're saying, but the problem isn't so much getting the connectors because we have samples here. The problem is finding a plastic casting company with the talent to produce these plugs in quantity. The fact is that most of the plastic companies we spoke to wouldn't even take the job because it was so involved. I'm not sure if anyone on these forums has plastic casting experience, but casting hundreds of holes that are ~0.030" in diameter, and holding the tolerances required to mate with the metal pins is actually very difficult.

We know people are holding out for PnP, which is why we're putting forth so much effort into the project. The good news is that we are expecting our first sample some time in January, and they said they can produce the full batch shortly thereafter is the samples are right. So, there is light at the end of the tunnel (2thumbs)

Awsome news, ayway i`m holding out and diying to get my hands on one of your PnP MS3 Standbacks:-)(braindead(bump)
