CPE cold air intake questions

I just installed my CPE cold air intake and it seems like there is not a whole lot of air flowing to it..., just curious if anyone has removed their fog light or anything of that matter to get more air flow directed onto the intake.

Sadly I just un-installed my CP-E cold air intake but I really loved that thing and it definately performed better when I had it on...conflict of interest. I was interested in it, my wife was not! Nevertheless I didn't notice a lack of air flow by any means...it really sounded neat. My friends said it was like the alien on predator...aggressive. I think being positioned in the wheel well is about as much air flow as you need to have.

It does not have ram air per say.

But since it is out of the engine bay it is cold air. And the air cleaner and intake path is so much less restrictive that it flows way more air than the stock air box / intake.

It is a must.

It is my car so my wife has no veto on it. Though she says she has been out Hoovering when she comes back from driving it. Since she says it sounds like a vacuum cleaner..

I uninstalled my CPE-CAI recently as the dealer would not service the car with it there. Mainly because I was having evaporation canister issues and I guess they cannot diagnose the engine unless it's stock. They ended up replacing a purge valve I think. I was getting a CEL about once a week and the car was stalling a lot after getting fuel.

The CAI came out very quickly, about 1.5 hours for the uninstall and the Forge valve also. It'll go back in again soon for the summer, but for now it's a pleasant change to have some peace and quiet...

It is my car and that does give me VETO power but I pick and choose my battles...I took off the CAI but put on the CP-E stand back engine management system...that thing is awesome. I miss the sound of the air intake but that has been replaced by a new jolt of thrust and power!!!
