So finally after waiting 2 months I have recieved my turbo inlet pipe. I installed it yesterday and it was a b****!
Install:
Install, in theory, is pretty straight forward, but only in theory! Taking everything apart was easy. I ran into problems when it came time to mate the turbo inlet pipe to the intake turbine houseing. There is a coolant line that is in the way. The CP-E pipe is so fat that it actually sits on the coolant line. I didn't however have to take my intercooler off, instead I disconnected a fuelline by the coolant lines and it gave me pleanty of room to fit my hand back there to slide the trubo inlet pipe on the housing. The fitment other than the coolant line is pretty good. One other thing disconnecting the ECU wiring harness from the ECU was a pain in the ass till I figured out how it works, I`ve never seen clips like that before.
Impressions:
The turbo spools much easier you can hear it and feel it. It's not really any louder. The tone is much different kind of like the high pitched wistle of a big turbo supra or jet engine, very cool sound. I`d have to say I noticed an increase in power through all RPM. It picked up a lot of power after 5700 to redline, it is very impressive the top end it has now. This is a power adder for the doubters!!!
I would highly recommend getting one.
P.S. For those of you with a CP-E Turbo inlet pipe, is it sitting on the coolant line? If not what did you do to get around that?
