Im so confused on how to proceed now.... I was going to do another FMIC this spring but now with CPE and CS coming out with these tmics i may have to go that route.

So those of you that have it, how about some pics with it installed...I curious to know how it compares to ETS

Unfortunately, my cp-e TMIC won' be installed until the Spring(March). This has been the snowiest Winter,that I have seen in a long time.

TMICs dont compare to FMICs if you ask me. Comparable price for less cooling ability, stick with your FMIC if you've already gone that route.

Yea, if you've already gone the FMIC route, there isn't much sense in going to a top mount. I'm just going top mount because I'm lazy, cheap, and have grown un-inspired with the ms3.

I sold my FMIC awhile back and have been on the stock tmic for awhile. The CPE tmic looks great though.

I read that more than 125 of these TMIC'S were sold. The inventory may be low or more units are being constructed!

I actually called and asked what was going on; not that I'm going to die if I don't get the piece soon; but I've already paid for it so let's get moving. If they charged when the item shipped I wouldn't care much. At this rate, I am not sure which one I'll get first, the CS or CP-e haha. Man, I hope this comes before the CS one.

I must be "lucky" then...mine shipped yesterday and I should have by the 14th. Perhaps new orders won't be in till march. yay

Just opened/inspected the TMIC from cp-e. really disappointed with the quality. There are some pretty terrible welds on this piece. I'll post pics up tonight and you guys can tell me if I'm simply expecting too much, but I don't think so. One area in particular they just melted the hell out of it, to the point where the bead/puddle line is double wide and the surrounding area is clearly warped/sunken in. I had much higher hopes. Hopefully the CS piece is much better or cp-e will own up and exchange it. But again, perhaps I'm making too big of a deal out of this...but I am actually embarrassed to put this thing on my car without a shroud.

wow that's REALLY unusual, everything I've purchased from CP-E has been top notch...I suppose everyone will have a lemon eventually...from the looks of things you might have gotten their prototype or something.

maybe they were trying some CYA because they already charged me and ran out of good ones. Regardless I love their statement that they thoroughly inspect each piece for top notch quality...oops...missed one.

"I KNOW I told him they weren't on backorder...(listens)...yes, yes I am aware we won't have any until March and we've already charged him...(listens)...perfect! We'll just send him the one my nephew welded."

Either way this isn't going on my car and I'm hoping they make it right. I sent these pics to them as well. I am pretty sure I'll get squared away on this; they seem like they know what they are doing in their communications...

The welds on my TMIC are thick, but even. Sorry to hear about yours. The customer service is great. On my TMIC, the cp-e emblem(plaque) was left off. I emailed cp-e and I had an emblem, via UPS, 2 days later. That's what I call service!

The real question is, would you put this piece on your car or return/exchange it? Replacement wouldn't be available until late march, early april, as they are OOS until then (which is also a PITA).

Shyt since you already have it might as well tell your going to have it installed and will exchange when the "new" ones come in....that's what COBB did for all their initial batch SRI's.
