I just put on the new Cp-e nano SRI and I must say I like it. Installation was pretty straight forward it came with directions so a monkey can do it. Overall I am very pleased sounds really nice with the Forge BPV. However the design is kinda tight and the silicone plumbing and clamps sit right on top of the recirculation hose, which I hope won't cause any damage from rubbing. Other than that I am very pleased with the new intake definitely worth the money and better than COBB because I didn't have to wait until December.

December 08 is Optimistic 09 is more like it !!!!
I'm waiting until they have them in the Red, before I buy one. How loud does it seem to be ?

well i would assume it to be just as loud as all the other sri on the market considering they are all pretty much the same thing...

its really not loud, the potenza road noise will drown it out at highway speeds with radio on you wont notice it all all, when u put your foot down is when ull hear it

Between the Cobb SRI and the Injen CAI, I sorta like the sound of the Injen.

But then again, here's food for thought. I think an intake on all stock engines will all sound obnoxiously loud. I really think it's the stock BPV that makes all that whooshing bulls*** sound. Because, i've heard the Injen CAI with Forge and it sounds quieter but more turbo-like, instead of sounding like a leafblower.

First hand comparson with the COBB and CP-E. The CP-E is quieter, however cuz the Maf housing being made out of Aluminum its great at conducting heat, vs the Cobb being fiberglass resin, that's just the 1st, now 2nd thing is the CP-E maf housing has caused some whistling during heavy throttle, Copperkidd and I noticed it last night when we romped on it, that's the first time i've ever heard whistle from the milled air straightener before, very strange but cool.

I think the Cobb SRI isn't as loud as the Nano. The Cobb has a lower sounding sucking noise compared to the Nano's higher pitch whistling sucking sound.

rofl, this can only get better from here..

"Well that one's suckin better or louder than that one.."

Sorry I couldn't help it.

Maybe it's the larger v-stack on the Cobb vs. smaller v-stack integrated into the AFE filter? Or the aluminum air straightener causes a high-pitch whistling? Whatever it is, I just hope it's different than the mouth-breathing noise the CAI made. That sucking noise pretty much sucks all around in my book.

Edit: lastest description of the sound is "hissing and screaming" and too "scary sounding" to waste gas running against.

For reerl, Ive not heard any squeeks, rattles or weird noises my rattler ms3 likes to make, all i hear is bshhh..... pshhhh....bssshhhs..psh.bhshh and so on. Now that i think about it, its an all in one; intake+rattle silencer=pshhhhh maker.

Lol, oh boy.

Does anyone agree with me that alot of the excessive noise is the BPV?

no because that would not make any sense. it should not cause any change to the sound of an intake except of course when you shift/release the throttle blah blah blah, but since it only being a bpv the noise would be minimal.

and for most of you guys comparing sounds between the sri they all are going to pretty much sound the same. the only major difference would be the material each is made with....but in all honestly there will not be much of a difference.

of course a better bpv is always a great upgrade, but more than likely the stock bpv is not leaking, but i am sure it does happen. but again it would not affect the sound.

Sounds the same as the Cobb SRI...I should know, I tried all three, Cobb SRI, Nano and Xcel CAI.

Well I am really pleased with the way it sounds. I can definitely hear the BPV better than before. I haven't noticed any weird whistles or anything like that. I love it and it is working out great so far. Does anyone know if they make a cleaning kit for the filter. If so where can I get one?

Yeah, just go to CP-e.com and it's under filters.
