not if the quality-engineering is there...

99% of these vendor get their FMIC cores from china so that statement is irrelevant...are you talking about quality aluminum piping.....LOL (poke)?

im currently working with a new vendor thats been making SRT parts and piping since day 1...literally since the srt-4 came out. it will drop in a couple weeks and i can guarantee you his price is half that of CP-e.

1200 for a FMIC kit for a 4cycly car is absurd. thats what Supra and Skyline kits cost and they use bigger piping 1 or two large turbo's and usually run 3.5-5inch IC cores. Thats what they get for 1200$

its supposed to mean thats alot of money for a fmic

Hmmm...Is it really? It's an extremely limited car. You have a MSP I would have thought you surly would have known that when companies make products for a limited number of cars pricing can get expensive (MAM, Perrin)CS's is what $1100, Cobb's will probably be similarly priced. Your right, you could pay $900 for a TXS's kit, good luck with that. It all boils down to the great old adage: You get what you pay for. In CPE's case you most certainly get what you pay for. For the others I'm not so sure, at least not from the horror stories I've read on here. I'll pay the extra money to have a kit that fits right, is of extremely high quality, throws no CEL, no MAF problems, addresses all issues/concerns THE FIRST TIME, No revisions here buddy.

I'm not sure where you get your info from. You must be used to bying crap parts off EBAY.

Your an idiot, the kit that your vendor will slap together will be junk, any body can slap some piping together throw in a IC and call it a kit. They made what 60,000 SRT-4's. How many MS3's did they make? And of those they made how many people are modding them? then of those how many people are going to be buying a FMIC? (gtfo)

Let's see, $600 for IC with piping + hours upon hours of to come up with empirical data as seen here http://www.cp-e.com/imgs/SP3DCValidation.pdf + lifetime warranty = um, yea, about $1200 :)

Can we not turn this thread into a MS3 vs. SRT? There are plenty of those on the SRT forums :P

Sounds good to me. I just get tired of all the CPE bashing. If you can't afford the kit/don't want to spend the extra dough..fine, but STFU about it.

i must say after reading that link i am very impressed i have read corky bells bible and they deffinatly take a lot of that to hart and have made a very nice product because of it... nicely done cp-e

o i know all about limited products. im not saying anythings wrong with the kit im just saying that its expensive nothing more.

You guys need to get your s*** staight. Sure $1,200 is a lot of money for a FMIC, but you more than get what you pay for. I have one of the best IC's on my SRT and I paid $650 shipped. That's just for the IC. Sure I could have got a cheap azz knock off for half that, but why. They don't flow for s***. There are even more expensive ones such as Perrin and Sparco (around $900) where you are just paying for the name. It has been tested and the AGP IC is the best.
That being said if you start with a quality core and figure in all new hardpiping and the new power steering cooler that comes in the CP-E kit it's not a bad price. You won't find a kit or piece one together for under $1,000. If you do I bet it won't put down the #'s that the CP-E kit will.

Which vendor are you talking about? Half the price huh? I highly doubt that.

umm who the **** are you? thats great you have a mass produced srt-4. there are only 2k or so made of these cars each year. Ok ill give you a little comparison real quick. the perrin kit for the msp cost over 1k when it was produced. turbo life came out with a replica kit with the same piping and core just made by an over seas manufacturer and it make 10 more hp and 9 tq over the perrin on the dyno. all he did was dyno the perrin and then take the core out and put his car in while the car was still on the rollers. btw his kit is only 625 shipped so saying you have to pay high dollar to get good products is completly bulls***.
