Anyone know how to remove the sensor things that cost heaps off a factory dump pipe??? I'm installing a cp-e dump pipe at the moment and its driving me crazy!!

Anyone done a thread about this before? can somone link me plzzz if so!

Umm, yeah...I'm pretty sure you should read the title of the top thread, chief.

WTF is a dump pipe??? If you talking about a DOWN PIPE, then yes just spray some wd 40, or w/e that stuff is called that mechs use and let it soak for a while. You will loosen and tighten at the same time to loosen it up a bit. considering the car should not be to old it shouldn't be that hard once you get some spray on there. DO NOT FORCE IT LOOSE!!! Loosen and tighten until it feels comfortable enought to unscrew all the way. Use as much spray as needed...the more the better.

If you screwed up your threads tap them with an m18x1.5mm tap and die set. You will permanantly screw up the sensor and possibly the new downpipe if you try to screw it in buggered up.

Yeah I'm gonna get a workshop to do it, or ask mazda really nicely to do it when it goes in for a 10,000km service.

Quick question, I'm running around in a cp-e cat back only. It's not as loud as I expected and I only have the one 12inch muffler. Will the down pipe make it louder?

A dump pipe or dump tube comes off the waste gate to release excess boost.
You can either dump to atmosphere and get a really loud noise similar to an exhaust leak or you can dump through your exhaust.

Have you finished installing the downpipe...?
Did it make your exhaust significantly louder...?

I have a turboback with the high flow cat. It's very daily driveable on the highway, but screams when I get on it. Great power gain and sound.

Any special tools needed to install the dump pipe...err... I mean the downpipe... :)
I'm installing mine tonight and would like to know if I should stop at Sears and grab some speciality tools I might not have...
Thanks!! (2thumbs)

It depends, when I took off my downpipe, I had those long flexible socket wrenches that reach like 3 feet away and bend and s***. That made it alot easier. As for the bolts themselfs, I would spray the s*** out of them with that some kind of degreaser or w/e they call that crap. Drown them!!! Seriously...
