So i purchased my 2003 Black Micah Msp back in early October, over the winter months my car started to make a ticking noise, as i have posted some threads saying this. Didnt think too much of it, thought it was possibly a valve sticking, let it go for a little bit. When May roled around i start to get a little worried as it starts to get louder. So I take my MSP to a guy i know and trust that works on engines. Pulled the head off and found the solid cam followers werent tuned at 60,000 miles which someone told me is a good thing to do, then he pulled the injectors out and im asumming the MSP injectors are suppose to be one color, well there are two colors in mine 2 green and 2 blue. Ok, thats not so bad, so he pulls the block out, finds pieces of bearings in the oil. Then he gets the oil pan out even more pieces of bearings. Takes the pistons, rods and crank out well we look at the rod bearing on piston #4 and it basically was bearing flaking off of itself, so that is somewhat bad news but not too much. Im just glad i caught it in time and didnt throw a rod or something horrible. sorry such a long post but thought i would share it with you guys. I will see if i can post some pics of everything monday or tuesday b/c i will be gone for the weekend.
