Hey everyone my names mark and I have been looking at the corksport power series FMIC kit for mazdaspeed6 and am looking for some input, pros, cons, anyone have this installed?
Thanks for your help!

these are b**** to install.. thats what ive heard.. theres cutting etc.. involved.. if you wanna go simple get a tmic.. but,the other problem with these.. you limit what kind of intake you can have etc.. maybe the bov too?? i forget..

If you going to pay that much for a front mount just buy the CPe. I did and it was a smooth install. Its takes a few hours but it has awesome quality. Best you can get out of the kits available.

corksport is also awesome quality. i have one but i did without their intake and custom fabbed it to work with a cobb sri. it did involve some cutting and what not but i got the kit used and for a good price so i am not worried. been using it for almost a year now and its proved to be real good. also with this kit you don't have to remove the front lip like cp-e and have an ugly looking medal shroud show.

the pipe that is under the filter where the long coupler is. all i did was cut it on a weld.

this is how i had it before i cut the pipe, i had an extension on the intake but this put it close to the coolant hose so it had a lot of heat soak.

but you are getting more then just the fmic. you are getting an intake and a turbo inlet.

That's what makes it so appealing to me. You could technically say it's a ram air set up (yes, redundant, I know) since it's bringing in air that's being forced under the hood to where the TMIC used to be. Plus, you can't beat Corksport quality :D

and despite it sitting right on top of the engine, it actually fights heatsoak quite well.

no you shouldn't have any problems with that. corksport tested that by running the car through a car wash and experienced no problems.

ha no, but i never had a problem when i did run that intake and i have never heard of anyone else who had the problem.

I live in the tropics and it rains a lot, and have no problem with the filter geting soak.

It is a big mf intercooler, I run it with a GT3071 and it's a charm. Btw I bought it used from bova.
My 2 cents.

Dam booster didnt know the Speed6 made it to PR... Was there for ten days Dec 5-14th n saw only 2 Mazda6 cars while there...Both in the condado/Isla Verde area. I was all over the island as I put over 1100 miles on the rental Jeep Wrangler Unlimited in that time....
