Corksport motor mount inserts installed

umm.. anyone got some more pics of the install process i would greatly apreciate it (yes)

ohhhh...something to think about: some people have complained about squeaking coming from the insert later on after a while. i think this may be caused by the insert rubbing against the the rubber, so i ended up greasing the insert (the inside portion) with some mobil 1 synthetic engine grease to make sure this doesn't happen. i don't know if i'm being too paranoid here, but i'm pretty darn sure i'm not hurting anything by doing this...=d

I think lubing it would be exactly the opposite of what should be done. If mine starts squeaking, I'm going to pull it out and glue the pieces together. That should stiffen the whole thing up nicely. Make it more like a one piece unit.

i dunno...i, personally, think that the squeaking is from the poly of the inserts rubbing against the rubber of the bushings. we'll find out soon enough, i'm sure...if my mount starts squeaking, i'll know what to try out! :D

Hey - I'd like to thank Sacrilicious for the post on the bracket. I took his advice and had the thing in there in about 5 minutes.

If you buy these inserts, go this route!!!!!

yeah i did that too. to me it seemed logical vs. just doing the two as per the CS instructions. easy install and a simple effective mod.

haha...np at all. i forget where i read it, but someone else pointed out that trick to me, and i'm very grateful to have learned about it, cause otherwise, i would be underneath a jacked up car wrestling around rocking the engine...NOT a good idea, imo...

I've now had this thing on for a few days. I had assumed I would not feel much change but it really does feel better. Much more "solid" feel and shifting is definitely better. I was pretty stunned by how much space there was in the stock mount.
