Corksport and Rear O2 sensor

I just finished installing the corksport exhaust and all in all, it went well. Only problem is...when I was getting the o2 sensor off I stripped it all to s***. There is no way its going to thread on the downpipe. Currently I have it ziptied in the engine bay, awaiting the mil fix. Is this going to be ok to have like this or do I need to buy a new one for $202.39 from the dealership and install it in the downpipe?

Thanks.

is it going anywhere? I mean the only point of the threads is to stay there, so if you rigged it good enough then you should be golden.

Man am I lucky that mine just unscrewed easy as hell. Living in Vegas without the rusting bolt problem is nice, but the heat isn't. Anyway, good luck with it and enjoy.

How did that happen? I used a closed end wrench which makes it pretty much impossible to strip. What did you use? Until you get that fixed be careful not to locate the line too closely to something very hot that could melt the line.

I tried taking it off with a closed end but it wouldnt budge. We got it unhooked and took the cats down. Then I tried an o2 sensor socket and still couldn't get the damn thing off. Finally a pair of vice grips and a near hernia got the stubborn sumbitch off. I had the pipe replaced once when the cat cracked and its possible the tech put it in cockeyed with an airgun.

On a side note, I only have like 2 threads left to tighten the springs bolts down with. I'm gonna go get a couple longer manifold bolts, as I don't feel comfortable with only 2 threads holding the exhaust up.

I made my own spring bolts. Just go to A hardware store and buy some longer bolts and four washers, and your set. cost me a $1.20 for everything.
