Coolant catch tank can

have i need to put a nipple in the part of the tank? or put a straw inside of the tank, for make the coolant flow from the reservoir tank to the radiator??

here is the point, i have the obx coolant reservoir tank, and i installed in my car, but the coolant dont flow from the tank to the radiator.

That to me looks more like an oil catch can and not a coolant can.... I would try adding a small peice of hose in it to direct it to suck the water from the bottom of the can instead of a straw.

Id have to go with stealth. That's not a coolant tank, thats more of a oil catch tank. . Ill post a pic of mine in a main. You wanna look for a coolant OVERFLOW tank not a catch tank. Thats how the coolant system works. Your not trying to filter out debris from the coolant are you? lol

well i have to put a hose inside the tank to things work.
But i can put a nipple in the bottom of the tank, too.

i am also confused with PG's
Billet Coolant Tank
Billet Coolant Canister
Coolant Reserve Tank
wut is the difference?

Different cars have different systems. Some recirculate and some overflow. There are different ones to work with that. The 3G protege uses the overflow method which fills from the bottom. So. yea. Still working on the picture. lol

Also company's try to save money and use oil catch cans as coolant tanks (hence the word "catch"

btw heres the pics.

inside shot. the tube sticking out is the overflow tube. down on the bottom is where the coolant is fed from. This also has to somewhat be below the radiator so it can gravity drain.

You don't want the overflow tank below the radiator, you want it above - how else will the coolant overflow from the radiator?
