Cool present for Females..

Just thought id share some pics of a present i got my mom for christmas. I know people before have posted what to get the GF, or others for gifts... here is a pretty cool idea. At least i think so.

the flower is called a Charisma, i bought it at some chain flower store in princeton NJ. but im sure they sell them all over. It is incredibly easy to maintain, and my moms has bloomed twice already, with little to no sunlight. All you have to do is change the water once a week.

What is needed:
Bulb
vase
water

that is it.

The flower type is an Amaryllis. They come in a variety of colors and sizes and are gorgeous. My mom's grown them for years. You should be able to find them at any garden center for less than $10, I think. However, you'll pay more to get them in a pretty pot or vase, almost ready to bloom. I could be wrong though.

im pretty sure the bulb itself cost around 12$ the vase/pot was another 14$

I still cant believe how it can grow so well without soil or light.

my moms flowers like that just bloomed and each flower is the size of my hand (she had like 4 stalks bloom at the same time) awesome looking plant...another great one is a hibuscus
