Hi, I'm trying to supply my car DVR for constant power supply (even when the engine is off) using the Power Magic Pro (I installed Blackvue HD400G 2)..

Tested the interior fuses and found not 1 fuse that I can tap in to..need constant 12v supply for Parking Mode surveillance...so the only way is through the engine bay fuse box...

I'm trying to find an opening through the firewall to run the wires to the interior...any chance you guys can give me a hint..

Thanks..

Firewall is right behind the battery :)

Remove the battery and you will be good

Doesn't the dome light get constant power, so you can turn it on via the switch? Or is it not on one of the interior fuses?

dome light fuse is also at the engine bay fuse box...thought of doing inline fuse via dome lights but the thought of removing and putting back the roof lining is quite a lot of work though so I aborted the idea...

those unused slots in the fusebox if I put in a say 7.5A or lower fuse and test if they are "on" even with the engine if off would that do any harm?

there must be a heavy duty 12V feed to the ignition barrel :D

Find which wire it is and tap into it that's what I have done with my 323F I used an RX7 turbo timer harness for the 323F to give me what i wanted, not sure if there is a turbo timer harness that is compatible with the 2 yet!

:D

thanks...got it tapped and working now...but need to clean up a bit on the harnessing part...just tried to do a quick one between work and was called to the office (2thumbs) so luckily managed to finish off by then...but never really neatly harnessed...will do it this weekend..

thanks for the responses..
