I have recently come to here about the compustar alarm system and have become inerested in getting one because they are 100 percent fail safe in a manual car with auto start. And though the vipers and clifford can be put on a manual car no body wants to install them in a manual.

So anyway, who here has input on these alarms? I'm looking at the

But I can't find a price online for the system alone, or for it installed.(scratch)

Any help?(2thumbs)

I had the RF-2W900 installed on my 2001 Audi S4. Worked awesome and never ever had a problem with it. if i remember correctly, it costed my about $525 installed. i could basically do everything from that remote. windows, sunroof, doors, start, turbo timer, pager, etc.

I was looking at that one, but the farther the range the better for me. I have had my MSP vandalized 2 times and a paging remote might have allowed me to catch the person. I can't imagine that happening to my ms3. So I want a little more distance.

Pick up the 9000, you wont regret it. I have installed these things for years now. Compustar is pretty much the ONLY brand of alarm/starter I will put in anyones car. The 9000 has a few extra little features, a much fancier remote and its only about $40 more than the 8000.

The sky is the limit depending on your/your shops electrical knowledge.. and wallet of course!

Well, Im in in Canada. When we do it, it typically works out to be the better half of $700. After you pay for the bypass module for the remote start and all the wee extras and such. The unit itself is around $350 Canadian I think.
