Compression and Timing

So yet another question.

If the compression is raised, by using high compression pistons, do the timing need to be tweeked by a ECU wizzard or something like that??

Or what else do you need to know, if you want to use high compression pistons.

Thanks

Ahh, thats a tough one...

Thing is, that high compression pistons for the FS, raise the compression in the FP when used, but not as much. 10.7:1 pistons might give med the compression of 10.3:1 or something in that range in the 1.8 FP.

I've found pistons that give 11.4:1 on the FS, so I might end up with about 11:1. But thats all relative.
So lets say a raise from stock 9.7:1 to 11:1.

Any links or information on where you found these 11.4:1 compression pistons?

Cheers.

Have a friend running an FS-ZE on a stock FS-DE box... so I know that that much of a change doesn't make a difference. Either way, you would want to be able to retune just to be safe on street gas... though we've done lots of things to these motors and have never experienced any ping (except in really lean conditions caused by my propane system running out of whack...)
