Hey hey...
Almost since new, my car had a rattle on the suspension, on the front, drivers side. Some of you might remember I posted a thread a while back asking for your opinions and some of you stated a couple of things that were pretty logical. Anyways, the thread is not about this...
I took it to the dealer, while under warranty still. Theyll change the whole front suspension, FOC, because the drivers side shock and the base of it (excuse the literal translation, dont really know the parts name in english...) were ruined.
What Im about to tell you comes straight from the Post-sales Manager, which, given the fact that weve bought 3 cars from them in 3 years, and given them more than 5 other sales through friends, pretty much treats us as friends, rather than a simple costumer... Proof of this is he will change both shocks foc, even though the passenger side still works, because itll end up failing and theyd fit the new one for a ridiculous price...
THIS IS PROBABLY JUST FOR MEXICO AND NOT ANOTHER COUNTRY, but Ill tell you everything anyways.
According to him, my car would be the first car ever to have this new suspension, different part number and everything, which, as of right now, is now the new OEM setup for the MS3 (again, I believe only Mexican MS3s but I dont know for sure).
Its supposed to be a reinforced version of the suspension, since the regular one wasnt really coping with the poor road quality from here. Its also made for the Speed3 only, since I thought they might fit my car with a regular M3 suspension, being much softer and all, it copes better with all the potholes and such.
Anyways, Ill be getting my car back tomorrow or Saturday morning. I really hope this suspension behaves better on mexican roads but more importantly, I hope the sportiness doesnt get affected... fingers crossed!
Should anyone want to know more, let me know and Ill post a reveiw as soon as I have something to report...
Wish me luck!
