well today i was at the bodyshop and i started to sand down all the plastic peices in my car to make it smooth and when its done it'll be the same color as the outside of my car... which is silver.... when im done ill post pics...

I'll be interested to see this because I haven't seen many custom Mazda interiors. I guess most of us like them enough that we don't need to change them like other car owners.

Zoom, XelderX and Ghost have some painted interiors. Mine will be the hardest considering I want to match the same damn sparkle yellow crap I have outside, inside...yayyy for me.

Haven't gotten it yet, but I'm definitively getting some paint from these guys and going crazy on my car:

Just make sure to get something for underneath the main coat if you're painting plastic.

its not hard at all... u just gotta get the paint code and a good bodyshop that can match it....

I planned on letting the body shop we do buisness with here locally paint it for me. They can order the paint code and clear coat it for cheap. I just wanted to do it myself, but afraid of f**n it up. I wanted to do the brake calipers same color too. But of course it needs to be brake caliper paint or a high temp one. That I can do myself. I WAS thinking of red like most people...but damn, I dont want a "condiment" car....ketchup & mustard looking with the yellow & red. lol

hey...
you saying my car looks like a Condiment Car?! :)
I think it matches the tail lights nicely. Problem was with the G2 Caliper paint the yellow was too bright which would of made it worse, I didn't want to do black b/c that would be boring. Blue would of been ok if I had blue tails or blue graphics down the side. I have some thought of adding red, orange and silver graphics on the car so that should help to get rid of the condiment stand look? or maybe add some relish green and onion white or redhot orange to the mix? :D

hey LaraCroft...
I liked your previous avatar better!?
Who built your house? :)
How did they come up with a one car garage? Is that a limitation by the HOA or builder or code? thanks

nicely done derrick...
one question: did you decide not to paint the center console to break-up the colors or is that something in the future? I think it looks good personally but I wouldn't mind seeing it all-blue...

well, the only reason i didnt do the cup holder part(and shifter surround) is because i ran out of paint... i've been too lazy to do the rest including door handles and the outer piece of my gauge bezel.

My house was site built by the builder. It was about the 7th house in a development of 55 houses. The house took 7 months to build. A 2 car garage would've cost an extra $10k believe it or not. So of course, I chose NOT to get it. It sux not having the 2 car but at least I have the one plus 1/2 acre of cleared land which is still nice enough to put a pool, patio and wooden playset.
I like red as an accent color, but unfortunetly, red and yellow always reminds me of a hot dog stand on wheels. lol
