cologne to freshen air?

Do you guys think it is a good idea to spray some cologne in my car? im thinking of spraying some on the ceiling and seats. Or do you guys think I should stick with traditional air fresheners?

Yo MinishotglasS....I wouldn't use colonge personally cuz for 1, if u have leather, cologne on leather doesn't smell 2 great! And I'm not convinced that cologne is ok on the leather!! If the "New Car Smell" is gone in your car then I would go with "Car Air Fresheners"! But it is all up to you and what you prefer right?!

i usually just frabreeze everything, then shoot alittle bit of curve onto the floor carpet, like 2 little puffs. I always get comments about how my car always smells new, even with 50k miles on it.

Cologne can leave stains. You don't want stains on your headlighner...

I would just keep the inside clean...even car air fresheners don't smell that great. Do you leave old hamburgers and stuff in the car? Maybe some smelly sneakers? Keep the car clean and it won't smell. But if you are going to use an air freshener, I would recommend that Downy Wrinkle Releaser...it just smells of freshly done laundry. I guess it's personal preference. I know a lot of people use the Fabreeze stuff but ever since a mouse died in my celing and started to smell, I used Fabreeze to cover the smell...now the stuff reminds me of rotting carcasses. And this is NOT a Canadian thing!

Fabreeze, Bounce, any of those things really will do the job. Just pick the one you like best. don't do the cologne, as that could just mix with whatever funk you've got going on in there and make it worse...lol

OK here is the BEST AND CHEAPEST way of getting out smells in the car. Put a few dryer sheets in the car on a sunny day and by days end all odors will be gone. This works soooo good. Takes out cigarette smells and whatever else ails ya'.

I'll have to try that next weekend... my car is in the sun most of the day on weekends (in the shade all day during workdays).

I use a bar of soap and leave it in the box and put it under the driver seat. Lever 2000 works the best.

i don't know whats avail in the states... but, i use stuff in my ash tray, looks like rock salt, there is another one which resembles sand, they cost like a buck for a big bag, i think its just scented sand... anyways its good for me, i;m a smoker, and use my ashie, never had a non-smoker be able to smell the cigs in the car

other good thing ya can get is little hooks they look like clothes pegs, but they sit inside your air vents...they are discreet too - most important get vanilla the rest are s****... car will smell pretty but not like a french ***** (unlike ambipur.. that stuff is BAD )

also don't spray stuff in ya car where it can be seen cologne has a lot of alcohol in it which WILL move the colour from your interior vinyls, headliners, carpets... if you must put the stuff right in the foot well, or under the seats

I have been known to spray cool water cologne on my seats and floor before a night out. I havn't had any negative effects as of yet.

Whenever I used to get my Integra detailed in Oki, they would put those scented rock salts or beads in the ashtray. It'd be a b**** to get them outta there after the smell goes away. It was a pain. If you're going on a date or something, spraying a bit of cologne works great. While I like the leather & gas smell personally....lol....I also like the smell of Cool Water & Drakar.

i bought an air freshener that was the shape of a small hockey puck...i stuck it to the little plastic shelf in the back where the rear seatbelt shoulder strap is. it's nice and discrete, and the smell isn't overwhelming in the front seats.

spray stuff around... i knew there was something ok in there...
just don't get it on your nice window tint.... hard to clean dried on stuff like cologne.... anyway don't sprey directky into stuff just a general spray as your honking the horn to pick up ya date .... preferably into the back seat.... other wise its too overpowering!!
