Cold Air Intakes: ATX vs. MTX

Bump....

picts or how-to on fix for atx tranny clearance issues?

Love the car...

...just don't want to M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E the intake. Sorry I'm just very anal. I am now waiting for the Injen CAI to be delivered. It has the application for both the ATX and the MTX.

K&N Intake

Hey guys I let K&N borrow my car to create an intake for the Autos. They had a manual next to my car to see the difference. They should have them out in the next month I believe. I cant wait since they are going to give me a free intake system. I will give you guys the results of my car dynoed before and after the intake. Dont say we are losers. There will be plenty of parts for our cars. The only difference is the tranny. Big woop.

actualy....the auto is the big difrence. auto launches from 780 rpms(Unless brake torqued but I only got to 2k) where as a manual can launch from wherever. also the gearing is more mpg and torque friendly. Reason I have mine is D.C., MD, and VA are rated #3 in worst traffic jam nightmares. manual mode gives you the feel of a manual w/o the hassle of clutch in and clutch out at the expence of your mpg.

Loose...I finally got the pictures uploaded of the Grille Mesh Mod.

The mesh mod looks great!

Looks almost factory. Can't even tell you modified it. (cool) Personally I am split. Ordering the Injen or waiting for the K&N, what do you guys think?

depends...lets see what the dyno says ti get an idea...lucky you an atx is dynoing for the K&N. yes I wanted it to not stand out...dealership still hasn't noticed it. The super loud stock alarm shud have given it away.

No idea.

The are still in the R&D part of the process. If I had to guess I would say it's probably a typhoon though. Ask Mazda3hatchback, he/she may know.

yes and same might have been instructed when they get it to not take pictures of it just yet either. wonder if it's gonna be 2 piece like most their applications. That way you can run cai in summer and for those paranoid of the snow and rain run sri when felt needed.
