coilovers.. anybody rep TEIN or HKS?

I see both companies have them available for the 2. Corksport sells the TEIN. Anybody know if theyre any good? The HKS ones look nice. I've heard Tein are overpriced. No experience with either. Anybody?

Don't forget the ST's. I'm surprised nobody around here has tried those ST's or the Tein's yet.

If you can read Thai, or Japanese there are actually quite a few options for our cars. There's a lot of options just no one wants to pay the shipping charges.

Tein's have a good reputation, have been around for quite awhile, and are rebuildable in the US (atlanta). The ST's are a cheaper (no stainless steel bodies) version of KW variant 1's, and KW has an excellent reputation. Honestly, I'd try those before the HKS.

The Teins I was looking assert are new sands say they have a 200% increase in dampening options compared to their old model. Something like that. That May make for a comfortable daily. What are the TS?

The ST's are only height adjustable, the dampers have no adjustment and (hopefully) are well suited to whatever the spring rates are. Being that they are maufactured by KW, they'd certainly be way up there on the quality scale (for the low-end models in this discussion). Probably an ideal setup for someone that wants good ride quality and height adjustability, and is not as concerned with maximum cornering speeds. Both Tein and KW are vastly more popular than HKS in the suspension arena.

i'm really debating either spending the money on a} eibach springs and wheel combo. n get coilovers after my stock shocks go... or b} coilovers now.

Quality shocks will probably be about $500 when they come out. Springs are about $200. Coilovers about a grand. Not really much difference when you consider the labor involved and doing it twice if you wait for shocks to come out.

Not to mention installing an assembled coilover unit will take about half the time on the fronts.
