Code reader for 1989 Mazda 323 DX?

Hi guys:

This is my first time posting. I just picked up a 1989 Mazda 323 DX 3 weeks ago with just under 128k on it. It's running great and I'd like to keep on top of that.
Can anyone recommend a code reader that will work with this year/model?

None, there are some green wire clips not hooked up by the master cylinder. Ground one of the pins and the cel will blink out a code
