My previous post, I should have said, was between 7 and 8 am. I just made a one hour drive from 3-4pm in the hot beating sun and here are my **new** results.
When I started the car (parked in the sun of course) AMB was reading over 110 and IAT was reading 160. After I started driving, everything equalized and I was getting 91-93 AMB and 97 IAT.
It was hot as hell, especially in direct sunlight. My driving was not stop and go, I would go for a bit, some stop and go, and back to a few minutes of cruising. When I stopped the IATs would slowly walk upto between 130-140 degrees. When I began moving slowly, they would immediately drop to 120 and slowly walk back down to 97 and settle there. If I accelerated quickly, my temps would immediately drop to 110 and walk itself (but quickly this time) back to the 97.
Hopefully this post will give you a better result of real world driving.
