Cobb Short Throw Shifter

Dayum... CS inserts, TWM shifter bushings, and Cobb DA shifter sounds like it would make for a good combo. All for under 5 bills.

I'm most concerned with the feel and accuracy of the thing. I can live with the stock throw (although shorter would be better), and the stock height is perfect for me. I just am sick and tired of hunting for gears when I shift.

I wonder if this thing will feel better than the TWM. I already got an itch wanting to try this thing out. After the perfection that my TL gearbox paired with Comptech STS was, Mazda's gearbox even with TWM STS feels sluggish and imprecise.

With the redline fluid in, mine is fast and imprecise. Who will be first to get one of these setups?

I just got the press release from Cobb today,

The Cobb Short Shifter is now available and will retail for $275.00

features 30% reduction in shift throw and independant height and throw adjustment.

System retains full reverse lockout functionality.

My theory on the price is the the reverse lockout system on this trans is a bit more complex that that on a 6-speed STi.

Is there such thing as group buy on these things and I sure would like to be able to see the nice cnc work on th Cobb, not covered by shift boot. Shame to cover it up. any thought folks?
