Ok first off im not bias to either or, however i do have a brand new cp-e standback uninstalled because im wondering if i can get the AP and use it soley as a boost controller for now as i only have a MSCAI, Cs DP, gutted 2nd cat, Wot box and meth. I was boosting 19psi but i took my BCD and MBC off because i was going to use the standback to control boost, but i really dont want to cut anymore wires and i dont want to spend $400 for a plug and play. I just want to know what would be this best route soley for me.

Hey guys with the standback just wondering how to better control boost with this thing. Where should the MAP be clamped? How do i make it let me run 18psi?
Thanks

I would say sell the standback if you dont wanna cut any more wires.

The AP can't be used independently to control boost.

I say sell the standback and use the money to buy an AP. Those maps are going to be plenty reliable with power gains. If you start getting cut, slap your clamp back on there. At least thats what I think.

from where you are at i would complete with the cpe you alredy did the hard part and cut some wires for the wot box. i dont know how well the wot box and the AP will work together. i have the cobb beacuse i didnt want to cut wires and i knew there would be tons of good maps come out eventually.
