Clutch issues with a Mazda6

2005 Mazda 6
I did a motor swap on a 2005 2.3L Mazda 6 and put in a new clutch and pressure plate since the car had 155,000. The manual transmission will shift into all of the gears while running and without the clutch pushed in it will hit 1-4 and grind going into 5th and Reverse. I pulled the rod from the slave cylinder and I still get the same results. I pulled the transmission and replaced the pressure plate bolts and I still get the same result.

I also have an electrical issue. When I first put the motor in if I took a set of jumper cables from the battery to the block it would start. After I took out the transmission this simple grounding fix isn't working and the car wont start unless i ark the solenoid. Any help would be appreciated!

PLEASE Help

I'm a newbie to this site and also to clutches. I have worked on cars for many years so please help me. I have never had a Mazda before.
