Clutch Chatter + Motor mount insert

Hi, Im lookin for engine mount insert. im gonna buy RR-Racing front and back.
My car suffert of Clutch Chatter when its cold. It doesn't happen everyday, just a couple times per month. But if I install insert will it be worst?????

I have the AWR front mount (88 durometer) and side mount inserts (70 durometer). They pretty much eliminated the clutch chatter, increased feel (the cars feels more stable now), eliminated wheel hop, and increased acceleration (a little bit). If you're not building an all out race car, I don't think it matters too much how you do it but stiffening up the motor mounts will help a lot.

clutch chatter has NOTHING to do with motor mount stiffness... it is something wrong with the clutch and WILL have to be replaced

i noticed that after i did my three mounts (front and both sides) the chatter got worse simply because the engine mounts was no longer absorbing the vibration as much.... solution? new clutch to be installed soon. :)

Exactly. The combined solution would be to also put in a new rear motor mount (AWR preferably) when the tranny's out.

Do you get much vibration with this setup? Also, where did you buy them from?

May as well get as much other stuff installed while the tranny's out...LSD, etc.

ok, makes sense... but how much of the tranny will be out when you change out the clutch and flywheel?

I have the front and rear rr-racing motor mount inserts. It took me about 2 hours to install both (30 min for the front 90 min for the back) Vibration at idle is noticable but not annoying or harsh. ZERO wheel hop! For the price I think the inserts are the way to go if you dont mind a difficult time changing the rear.

Wait, you were able to remove the rear mount (or at least have access to it) in under 2 hours?

yep, front and rear done in two hours, I remember B/C I had to hurry so I could go paintball with the guys

Yeah, if you can share on how to get the rear swapped in under 2 hours I'm sure it'd be much abliged.
