Clutch/Bearing Questions

I bought a Spec stage 2 clutch and i was wondering what bearing came with it...i know it is either the pilot or release bearing. So if anyone knows could you help me out? Im about to order some parts from Mazda for the install so i just wanted to know.

Also, is that bearing gonna be a good one...i heard aftermarket bearings make a lot of noise and to always get the OEM one from Mazda. Anyone have any experience/opinions on that?

This is what i am going to get so far for the install:

new clutch
new lightweight flywheel
And the bearings(pilot and/or release)

anybody else think of something i missed?

Its a Throw out..Or release bearing.
The pilot bearing is Pressed into the flywheel.

im going turbo, so im taking out the trans to put in the lsd and upgrading the clutch and flywheel

Might consider replacing the input shaft seal and the Axel Output seal while you have it all apart.
Dont forget to order the Axel Clips and you might want to get new Axel nuts as well.

im getting the locking nuts for the lsd install...is that what you meant by axle nuts and clips?

I might replace the seals...but i dont have money right now and wanna get this done...but i would rather do it right the first time too...we'll see

^When it comes to transmissions, it ALWAYS pays off to do it right THE FIRST TIME. If you're going to have it apart, why leave some smaller details aside when they could cost you 5 times more to fix in the future?

The seals are cheap compared to the rest of the work you are doing..Whats your trannies milage?

true...i guess ill have to wait a little longer to install the lsd until i can get all the parts i need

around 70k miles...youre right the seals arent that much at all(do you know the part numbers for the seals?)...but what are the axle nuts and clips?

Yeah...Replace the seals while its apart.
DO you already have the LSD?

Yes i do have the LSD...but i could be interested in the install parts depending on how much you want for them and if you want to part them lmk

its an 01 mp3...no ABS...i have a speedo gear lined up though...ill hit up Ken for sure...need parts from him anyway
