Hey guys, I am looking to do new clutch and flywheel. I think I am going with the mazdaspeed clutch, but I dont know if I should do mazdaspeed or fidanza flywheel as I do not know much about them. Anyone shed some light?
you really don't need a new clutch unless you plan on making alot more than stock horsepower. as for flywheels as long as it is lighter than stock you will feel a difference. mazdaspeed is generally overpriced for not top of the line merchandise. i'd go with the fidanza flywheel.
I ordered the mazdaspeed clutch(not the flywheel) and am still waiting for it to get here. They told me 4-7 buisness days and after i ordered it they told me 3-4 weeks so i'm kinda annoyed. But i'll give more info after i get the clutch and put it in.
Get the lightest flywheel you can find...personally, I think that's a big contributor to the low-rpm power deficiency we have, especially with the 2.0.

only to a point... i wouldn't go to light b/c then you have a hard problem being able to use it as a daily driver... from what i have been reading and from talking to others anything considered a race flywheel is not for daily driving and those are usually less then 10lbs.... our stock is around 25lbs i believe so if you can find one around 10 i think 15lb loss at the crank will be a very sig increase but still be drivable....
