Like all of you, I have been complaining to my dealership about the clunk. They have tried many "fixes", and have not been succuessful. Here is my update for everyone, there will be a new fix my the end of September. What my dealership did was change everything again! They changed the bushings, links, etc... even the RACING BEAT sway bar. What my mechanic told me was the bar seem a little too short, so he ordered in a new one and made everything fit right. I will keep you all posted on any new developments! (I am from Canada, so things might be different for people in the United States):D

How do you know there will be a fix by the end of september?

So what exactly did your mechanic do?

im from Canada too btw.

I think i gave up at around ten tries to the dealership. I'm just waiting for september to come around. Gee, maybe it'll come on my birthday(birthday)

I had mine bushings and end links done around 3000km ago. That was just after I bought the car.
Since I am currently driving around with no stereo (being repaired under warranty) I am hearing every little sound the car makes. I think the clunk is starting to come back.
I had mine replaced at Whitby Mazda and it took some convincing to get them to agree what it was, but then they replaced them.

PM

My service manager at my dealership told me that they`re just replacing the whole unit, and putting in a totally new one. So far he has had 3 occurances, and no problems after the fix.

guys, ugh, i really hope this is the fix, but what is the difference? just that its NEW? It will come back when winter rolls around if they are just putting NEW stuff in :(

anyone know the difference? Would my service manager know?

Ive got them replaced about 8 times. I recently did the fix someone mentioned with the small piece of plastic between the bushing and the bracket. So far 2000 miles clunk free.

Hopefully u got the new "fix"

The reason why I know there is a fix coming out in September is because the service manager called Mazda Canada and they told him to hold off and try to figure something out on his own because they are working for another fix to come out in September. As for what why my mechanic decided to replace the stabilizer bar, links, bushings etc... is because he mentioned that the bar seemed a little to short. (I don't get it ither but I have been driving my car hard and nothing! I am very impressed!) Here are that parts that was replaced:REAR STABILIZER BAR, BUSH STABILIZER # BN7H-28-156D, STABILIZER # BPH7H-28-151A, LINK CONTR #B26R-28-170. Hope this helps out!

Maybe they're putting in a stock ES swaybar on you .. haha

Hehe that's actually not that far-fetched. Apparently the old dealership I went to did exactly that. Didn't even realize until I was at the new dealership and they told me about it.

so its the same old parts, he just doesnt have clunking because its new? or are they releasing new parts under the old numbers...

hmm

like he said... the new parts are coming out in SEPTEMBER.

The dealership that I went to in Calgary was North Hill Mazda, talk to Sean and she will help you out.

From my understanding the sway bar is the same, but I think it might be different. As for the bushings they are the latest ones out right now, but I am going to be getting the September updates installed when they come out.

The sway bar is a Racing beat, it is not a knock off! For those of you are still skeptical, I will take pics if you like???

My friend is a mazda mechanic at the dealership that I am going to, so I know I am being taken care of right! My friend also mentioned to me that the grease on our bushings dry out really fast for some reason, so for a temp fix apply some grease to the bushings, but the ones that are coming out in September should solve this problem.

Over the winter time, by applying the grease I avoided all the squeeks ( to some degree until it dried up).

SOMETHING ELSE THAT MP3 OWNERS MIGHT WANT TO BE AWARE OF IS YOUR DOOR HANDLES. I'VE HAD TO GET THE DEALERSHIP TO COVER MY DRIVER SIDE ONE BECAUSE IT WAS PEELING!

I ALSO TALKED TO MY DEALERSHIP AND MENTIONED THAT MY WARRANTY IS GOING TO BE EXPIRING SOON, SO THUS I AM S.O.L. WHEN THE SQUEEKS COME BACK. THEY HAVE TOLD ME THAT SINCE I HAVE RAISED THIS PROBLEM, AND IT IS NOT FIXED YET THAT IT WILL BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS FIXED.

AGAIN THERE IS A NEW FIX COMING OUT IN SEPTEMBER. I AM VERY VERY CERTAIN OF THIS. MY DEALERSHIP HAS CONFIRMED THIS AND I WILL POST THE PART # ASAP!

Question for everyone on the forum. I noticed that my car is dripping WATER from the engine near the back of the motor. Is anyone experiencing this same problem?

Any clue as to what it is? I know it is not a puddle that I ran over because it has been hot here the last couple of days.
