Clunk fixed

:
2005 Premium White Pearl RSX Type-S
I went into Mazda today to get my oil changed (switched to synthenic) and also got the clunk fixed (I had ordered the parts last week) Anyway all is good now, no more clunk, the part # is BN7H-28-156D hope this helps. Buddy said that the rear bushing out of a regular Protege were used for this car not taking into account the tuned suspension so that what caused it.

noooooooooo! its still bushing 156D the clunk will be back if thats the only thing they changed!!! craaaaaaaaaaap!

hopefully this isnt 'the fix'

156 should be listed on your work order as
156D IMPROVED BUSHING

its the same thing that we all are getting. its not gonna fix anything for more than a few weeks. we're all waiting for 'the fix' rumors are its coming this month...

i was thinking of taking the msp down to racing beat to get this crap permanently fixed. they are only in oc. a 45min drive to fix the clunk should be worth it... hopefully they can fix it. what do you guys think? should i try going to racing beat?

Word is that mazda won't let RB come out with a fix. Worth a shot though, maybe they could advise you on what they would do or something.

Lets make it a group event...lol. Everyone in the area will caravan down there together, it will be like the caravan to sevenstock. :D

everyone knows (including Mazda) HOW to fix it, they just won't (in Mazda's case, because of the cost), or can't (RB's case, because they're not allowed, due to MAzda legal mumbo jumbo).

:(

I'd drive to Cali if it would help to get it fixed, as well, though...

so uhh do the southern californians wanna go down to rb?

Post this question in the California board, some people might want to. I'm sure we can get a good group to go down there. Many complaining MSP drivers are better heard than one. :D

I think that would be awesome if you guys could pull that off, and it would send a big message to at least the head of RB, so that he/she could give mazda guff for having x number of cars show up at their offices all pissed off and looking for answers.
Pics and letters could go to MNAO from each owner as well. It would be heard. (at least that's what I think)

Yeah, I just got mine replaced, had to leave it over night cause they only had 1 of the new ones on hand...how the hell do you get just one bushing, I don't know. Anyway, they are the BN7H-28-156E bushings. I expect them to be worn out in a month just like the other three sets I had put in, but we'll see.

If this is true, how come no one else has produced an aftermarket fix?
