How did you take the mazda symbol off?

Thanks
Smithers:
a) just pry with a flat screwdriver (it's poorly glued and 2 straight pins...)
b) remove the top grill and push the pins from the inside

Mypfizzle:
- You do not modify the existing marker (if you ever want to put everything back to stock...
- When you get the Mits markers, you'll find them too thick.
So, you saw each of them in 2 pieces, sand both sides and crazy-glue everything back together. When you sand, put masking tape to avoid scratching the reflective surface...

It's a little work, but simple. Check the link to the tutorial !!

the tutorial is how to install a stereo -=( i got my stereo installed.. id like a tutorial on how to make clear side marker lights.. i ordered them.. ill learn when they get here. -=)
lasy question.. does the bulb harness fit in the mitsu light or do i have to modify that toO?

Mypfizzle:
on the tutorial page, there are several tutorials. Click on the front side marker and you'll see the "how to" for the Mitsubishi marker install ! Sorry, I should have mentioned this up front.

As for the bulb socket, it holds fine. Definitely, it isn't a perfect fit as the stock socket is ... but no need to modify it.
Enjoy,

Your talking about the Mazda symbol right? So you didnt actually shave down the black plastic dimonds behind it?

What McDaveMP5 is saying he custom made his grill by removing the existing factory grill and inserting a mesh grill that he probally painted black.

Correct me if I'm wrong here McDaveMP5! Its easy, simple and low cost.

guys ... I'll clarify !

I bought a piece of mesh. After cutting and painting it (rustproof silver), I simply put it over the existing grill (after removing the mazda logo...)

It's quite easy, especially if you remove the stock grills and do everything on you lap... Use tie-wraps to hold the mesh on the plastic grill. Before you ask, the border is black rubber tape. Nice and clean job.

alright.. lights should be here today.. time to get a grinder superglue and sandpaper and get to work. -=) ill post pictures to show u what a :wonderful (hopefully): job i do on this. -=)

let me get this straight, you are spending $30 on celica side lights that NEED to be modified to work, as opposed to $35 on the rx7 lights that don't?

what's the logic on that, mr. spock?

where did u find the rx7 lights for 35? everywhere i found them they wanted 99 bux or 95 bux. and from what i have been told even the rx7 lights dont fit correctly... so please if u would be so kind.. link mr spock to these 35 dollar direct fit lights you speak of.

:smacks head: damn i guess i should read first. -=) my bad. u have a pic of them installed? do u kno if u have to rig the middle part to stay in?

sorry, no pictures. i just figure the rx7 ones would be closer to the right size.
