CiviCity Student Budget Build

wow the rims really set of off nicely!! Great work.

I was going to get in on the roof spoiler but its just too expensive, can't dish out that much knowing civic roof spoilers go for $60.. I'm going to get an msp spoiler instead

Thanks! Im really happy the way the rims look on my car. It even surprised me :P

Yeah im also not 100% down for a 240$ roof spoiler. Im still trying to decide lol. It looks badass and ill be the only one in town to have it. But is it worth to drop another bulk of money on the pro? Im not sure :/

Which spoiler u thinking of getting? The 2 or 3 branch one?

Quick update.
Ordered my struts, they should be there by thursday.
Also ordered some special front fenders :D and rear quarter panels cause mine got a few rusty spots underneath. I might get the car repainted the same color or plastidip it all.

Also, got myself some carbon fiber vinyl to do the inside trim panels.

And lastly, im debating on if i should get the roof spoiler for 240$ or get my msp rims sandblasted and powdercoated for 240$. HELP PLEASE! Lol

whoops sorry didnt see your reply hehe, yeah im going to pass on the roof spoiler there are a few other things i would much rather get than $200~ for a plastic roof spoiler. I'm thinking of getting the 03.5 msp spoiler (without the 3rd branch). Hard time finding one within my price range though :(

MSP rims for SURE, i guarantee that is the better choice!! It'll make a bigger difference for sure.

where did you get the fenders from? Does this mean you have to cut off your old ones and weld on the new ones?

The problem with my wheels is that they arent the cleanest ones out there. They need some bondo here and there and the guy that is going to fix them is not willing to fix them. Im leaning on just putting a super thick coat of black plastidip with some silver metalizer. My friend has them and they pretty sweet looking.

I did order the roof spoiler cause i got an unexpected bonus from work :). A little 140$ is always welcomed.

For my front fenders, got them locally for 60$ each. They brand new. Ill be wrapping them in Cf.

For the rear ones, yes i will need to cut the old and weld the new. Itll probably go for next year but i got a great price. 66$ for both and they brand sparkling new!
I also got them locally.

you could always put a little work into it yourself with some filler and then let the guy paint it :P shouldnt be too hard.. wont be perfect but it should still look better than covering it with plasti dip i think.

get some pics up of the spoiler when you get it :)

Are your rear quarters rusting bad? If not i would leave it, slap some grease and spray some corrosion free on there, slow it down.

I could and i thought about it. But since he is going to sandblast them, all the bondo will go bye bye haha.
Powdercoating them will sure look badass, and i still have until the 21st to decide. The problem also is that ill be wheel-less for 2 weeks.

Nop, barely any rust showing. It started to bubble. But if u stick ur finger from the inside, its coming out in pieces. Normal wear and tear really.
I antirust my car professionaly every year and i do put grease on all risky/rusted spots before and after winter. But rust still found a way to hit it.

Damn u canada weather lool

yeah i wish they would use sand here instead of salt!! Its been pretty tiring keep this thing clean every week away from the salt.

ah that sucks with the wheels, maybe you could still use some bondo and not do the sand blasting? I guess you have to sacrifice a bit if you don't want to end up plasti-dipping it.

Or use dupli color paint and do it yourself!

I went from this

for about $40, not perfect but it looked a lot better than before still!

Dude those look freaking sick!!
Which duplicolor paint did u use? Any primer? Did u clear coat them?

Those look good! I'm ordering plastidip for my wheels this weekend. Then if that sites out good I'm gonna go plastidip crazy with interior!

Correct...

Let me know if interested...$220 Shipped...also, Nabih...just got confirmation, yours will actually be $220 instead of the $240!!!

YAY :). Well that turned out even better than expected. Cant wait for it to arrive already lol.

Also xtreme velocity, i also thought of plastidipping the inside of my car but it would cost me too much at 18$ a can. Instead i will be carbon fiber vinyl'ing my trim pieces.
So my front pillars (A), rear pillars (B), radio surround and shifter surround with cupholder. Its 8$ for a piece of 39" by 59". Comes back pretty cheap.

I dipped my wheels and it looks awesome. Word of advice though, take them off when you do it. It'll make the job much easier and there's less room for mistakes.
