Sorry if this has been posted before, but I have a 2002 P5 ( silver)and noticed a few paint chips on the hood after only a week!!!! The dealer says he'll take care of it..we'll see..Has anyone else seen this on their car?:wtf:
You say you have a 2002 P5 that you've had for a week. I'm wondering how many miles are on the car and how many were on it when you took delivery of it? I assuming that this is a midcycle refresh 2002 and not a prior one. The 2003 P5s have been on the lots for nearly 6 weeks now, so I'm wondering if those chips (and maybe others) were there when you picked the car up and you didn't see them then. As I said, just curious. Jim
This has been posted before. Seems that Mazda has notoriously thin paint. My P5 is about 4 months old and has a few chips in the paint. I'm surprised that your dealer is going to take care of it. Most people with these cars got a free bottle of touch-up paint with their purchase. Mazda knows the paint is s***.

we'll see how they address the problem, the car wasn't detailed very well when I picked it up, after I washed it, I noticed the chips...the car only had like 12 miles on it when I picked it up..one of the chips is pretty big and is starting to rust, I now have 2300 miles on it, if it looks like this now, I'd hate to see how it looks after 50,000!!!! Other than this I love the car....
