Chip ????

I've read a lot of threads here about boost controllers etc. I haven't heard a lot about computer chips (a la Volkswagen) ?
Is this a possibility for the 'Speed ? My buddy had a Neuspeed chip in his 2.0 Jetta. had to be soldered in, that was it. I understand the chips for 1.8 T are the same and give big gains in HP and torque. I assume it ups the boost and the air/fuel mixture. Relatively cheap too...great bang for the buck.

I'd like to do something like that with a CAI, then look at the exhaust, if there's any power to be found there. I want to keep my warranty regardless.

Does anyone know about this??

You can't do a chip in a mazda as they don't have one to swap. We have full PCM computers that run the show and have to be reprogrammed or tricket. No one has succesfully reprogrammed the computer yet, but it is in the works.

No Chips! Cheeburgers and Pepsi - no Chips!!!
